At Jukjeon, you’re the farthest south of all the KIS folks. You’re also within walking distance of the big E-mart from orientation week, the Shinsegae next door to that E-mart, the Gecko’s that hosts lots of KIS events, and a huge variety of restaurants and food of every style and price level (cafe street and the main drag can be pricey). You also are close to E-mart Traders, which is just like Costco, except you do not have to have a membership card and you can pay with a credit card or your Hana card. It is the Korean version, but some US products are on the shelves. In my opinion, you also have the coolest views from your apartments. And being farther away from KIS discourages you from going to work on weekends. That’s a plus, for most.
In the guide below, Bundang is yellow subway line, Sinbundang is red subway line. If the bus entry says “n/a”, it’s not because there’s no bus route. There is ALWAYS a bus route. But the subway is almost always faster unless you’re taking an express bus (red) into Seoul. None of this stuff involves an express route into Seoul. So, n/a means the subway is faster. Also, only fastest and most direct bus routes are noted. There is often more than one bus route. If you miss the fastest/most direct, use the bus app and you’ll probably find another option.

*All these bus options to E-mart/Jukjeon and E-mart-Traders/Bojeong look great, but they leave from and arrive at various different bus stops in the Daedok and E-mart or Traders vicinity. Use the bus app or naver to see which ones go exactly where if you’re picky about crossing streets, specific subway exits, etc.
Important notes for Costco: 1) Yangjae Citizens Forest and Yangjae ARE NOT THE SAME STATION**! See your subway map. 2) If you are a moderate walker and don’t have a stroller or a toddler, the 15-minute walk from Yangjae Citizens Forest is almost always the faster of these two options. It takes an extra 2 minutes for the subway to get to Yangjae station (going away from Costco the entire time), then an extra 5-8 minutes to exit the station (it’s a very large station), then a 1-10 minute wait for the bus, then the 08 and 20 buses stop frequently and deal with heavy traffic.
Similar note: Bokjeong (neighborhood where some KIS folks live) is a good ways north of you, Bojeong (E-mart Traders) is one subway stop south of you. :-)
